Migration Jam is a migrant-led collective utilizing the power of ethical storytelling and inter-communal dialogue to counter the mainstream negative narratives about migrants and refugees.
We adopted ethical storytelling as this practice of creating and sharing stories in a way that is morally and socially responsible plays an important role in the overall well-being of refugees and migrants. In all our work, celebrating refugees’ and migrants’ initiatives and stories takes center stage.
Our goal is to channel opportunities to our communities and to encourage a more inclusive local integration for refugees and migrants.
The Migration Jam community has grown in the past two years into a solid international network of migrants and refugees from around ten different countries working as professionals in the fields of video production, animation, graphic design, illustration, photography, storytelling, and podcast production, among others.
