Nowar Rahmouni is from Syria, living in Lebanon. She is an entrepreneur, documentary maker, researcher, writer and public speaker. Nowar is the founder of “Gharna Halabi”, a start-up business for traditional crafts and natural and organic products, that helps to empower young people by providing opportunities for meaningful and uplifting work.
Nowar has made two short documentaries called “Voices Under Pressure” and “Grass on a Stone” with stories inspired by the context of Lebanon and Syria. Nowar is also a community coordinator, managing social media content with NGOs to engage with their target audience. Nowar has hosted several events and conferences as a motivational speaker, sharing her story and stories of others to give hope, courage and push to every listener.
