A recent graduate from The School of Oriental and African Studies, in London, Tahiya conducted research on international government policies and diplomacy in the MENA region, focusing on women’s empowerment in Palestine. She currently serves as a Co-Executive Coordinator of Istanbul&I, a grass-roots, community lead youth organization dedicated to increasing volunteerism, social inclusion, and civil society in Istanbul. With over five years of international experience in non-profit and marketing sectors, Tahiya co-leads an organization of 250+ members that is focused on empowering the youth as well as improving the conditions of marginalised communities in and around Istanbul.
